The Team

Professor Nicola Dandridge is Professor of Practice in Higher Education Policy at the University of Bristol. She is researching higher education governance with a focus on sector-wide policy objectives, teaching/research relationships, and student experiences. Previously, she was the first chief executive at the Office for Students (2017-2022), the chief executive of Universities UK (2009-2017), and the chief executive of the Equality Challenge Unit (2006-2009).

Professor Richard Watermeyer is a Professor of Higher Education and co-director of the Centre for Higher Education Transformations (CHET) at the University of Bristol. His research is predominantly concerned with critical sociological analyses of change and disruption in higher education affecting the organisation and governance of universities and science, academic identity and research praxis, and the public role and contribution of universities and scientists.

Valentina Perinetti Casoni is a Senior Research Associate in the School of Education at the University of Bristol. Her research aims to produce robust, policy-relevant, quantitative evidence of how educational systems and policies can either re-balance or reinforce educational inequalities and social stratification. 

Dr Yi-Hsuan Irene Huang is a Research Associate in the School of Education at the University of Bristol. Her research interests are broadly in global higher education policy, governance, and the internationalisation of higher education.
